CCKW "Finished"

I did manage somehow to "finish" my CCKW, in all of it's green glory. From the start of this build I enjoyed Tamiya's version of the GMC CCKW. It has just enjoy surface detail and not a whole lot of complexity. With technology being as it is, sometimes kits can be over engineered, over detailed and just plain overpriced.

One thing that I suspect that will drive me crazy me for the next week or so.... it's load!

1/35 Tamiya GMC 6x6 CCKW 353

My rendition of a GMC 6x6 CCKW 353 US Army WWII truck by Tamiya. I used home brew of Tamiya acrylic paints for the US OD Green; over top my favorite enamel washes by AK Interactive, with pigments from MIG Productions. This is a great little truck with no build issues. The markings are dry transfers from Archer and went down with little fuss for my first time using transfers.

1/35 Hobbyboss M1070/M1000 Heavy Equipment Transporter

I decided to continue with my M1070/M1000 project. This has to be one of the largest projects that I have done to date. Just about 1500+ parts of all shapes and sizes. Some completed and some lost to the floor demon. For someone that hates to do anything with wheels.... Well I just couldn't help myself. I'm basically about 60 % completed with the initial building so far. I do know what the load will be. Suffice to say it will be maxing out the payload of this little gem.

Hello!

So, you’ve found me. This is a reincarnation of my first website & blog. Over the next few weeks, I hope to begin posting my current projects, and some completed and not so completed ones from over the years. Bear with me, as like everything, this will be a constant work in progress!
